Fine line between GTD and wasting time

Today:

• got up early, web dev on my mind
• got to office, realized treepad still tends to resolve the junk in my mental attic to a kind of semi-sticky paste
• started looking at google apps to see if there’s anything that will take care of what Outlook isn’t doing for me
• somehow (and this is where things get fuzzy) got to messing around with social networking sites in an effort to find someone to help with a web dev problem (at least I was trying to go back to step one)
• got to looking at twitter …
• In the immortal words of David Byrne and Brian Eno, (and yes, I lost 45 seconds in Google/Wiki world finding their names) ” well, how did I get here?”
• time to GBTW
